any ages ago, when TV's top producers, programmers and executives still wielded in their gauntlets the power to imagine and to believe, there was the time of sci-fi/fantasy television, when such series as The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Adventures of Sir Lancelot, and, more recently, Gargoyles,
gave viewers the opportunity to journey to worlds, realms and timeframes never before imagined by Mortalkind.
But of all the series one could place under the realm of sci-fi/fantasy television, there was one unsung saga whose tales and games shall stand forever as one of the true guilty pleasures of those of us who were --- and, I suppose, still are --- Knights-at-heart .... or, at the very least, Knights-in-spirit! This, then, is the story of the Welk Entertainment Group's first and only attempt to combine the realms of Camelot and American Gladiators into a single, big-hit entity. That said, I now invite thee, my good Lords and Ladies, to enjoy....
Hosted by Joe Fowler, with color commentary provided by Lisa Canning, and presided over by Bernard Erhard as the Lord of Rules and Discipline (L.O.R.D.), K&W was a sports-fantasy competition unlike any other. The premise was a rather simple one: In a time of ancient harmonies, the forces of good and evil were somehow engaged in an unending series of battles --- all of which pitted eight bold-hearted, evil Warriors against two teams of male-female competitors. The purpose: to determine which of the two teams would be deemed worthy by the L.O.R.D. of bearing the honorary distinction of Knighthood!
In this segment of my Dark Chambers, I, Master Blackwolf, will reveal unto thee the tales of Knights & Warriors, as revealed unto me by the Lord of Rules and Discipline himself. Pray, enjoy!
