ell, folks, this is where you get to know the real moi: Richard Washington, webmaster, grumbler, adventurer, Buccaneer-in-Training --- and pretty much one man at war with the big guys (David vs. Goliath, that sort of thing). Anyway, for now, this is gonna be my Mundane segment, so you guys can get a load of my online stuff, which will be frequently posted as I see fit. Enjoy!
For now, here's some of what this Mundane page will feature:
First, check out the exclusive jump links to six other component sites created and maintained by yours truly: KringleQuest.com; Uncle Fergus' Bagpipers' Paradise!; Edward VII: The Homepage; The Quartet of the Longbeards; Tales from Berenicia and Old Man Fiddler!
Then, explore my tribute to the Pagemaster, Keeper of the Books and Guardian of the Written Word; and to David Kirschner's film production, starring Macaulay Culkin and Christopher Lloyd, which tells the Pagemaster's tale. Plus, explore Blackwolf's Library Links, where you can journey to several of the Pagemaster's favorite libraries!
Another of Blackwolf's fellow eccentrics is here, too: Master Thoth (note that he stopped using the S.K.!), whose Oscar-winning documentary will soon be seen on HBO. Sheila Nevins, I could kiss you!
Since I grew up during the Seventies, I was among the few that had the chance to listen to the real WABC Radio. Check out this way cool tribute to Musicradio 77 WABC!
I was among the several who pledged a very special allegiance to Epcot's magical duo, Dreamfinder and Figment --- and now, there's a whole page devoted to their memory. It's called (no surprise) Figment's Imagination; and it also links to the official site starring Figment's original voice, the late Billy Barty, and to the official pages of Billy's two nonprofit organizations, Little People of America, Inc. and the Billy Barty Foundation. There's another Dreamfinder site in the works, the Friends of Figment; and the chat site Emuck.com recently interviewed Ron Schneider, the original living form of Dreamfinder!
One of the projects I hope to put into development is a film adaptation of Elisabeth Beresford's "The Wombles." Check out Johanna Cormier's Womble Lovers' Page to learn more about them! Of course, my Really Big Dream is to do a live-action, adaptation of Norton Juster's "The Phantom Tollbooth," one that would bring together the combined resources of Industrial Light & Magic and Jim Henson's Creature Shop. (I'll tell you folks about that one soon!)
As Halloween happens to be among my semi-favorite holidays, well, I need not tell you that only one wench is the undisputed Queen of all Halloween: Elvira, Mistress of the Dark! But for a brief period in 2001, Elvira had to confront at least one major aspirant to her Halloween throne: Ravena, Goddess of Stonehenge! She and her mute dwarf sidekick Anok were the stars of their new show, Stone Circle Cinema! Hopefully, stonecirclecinema.com will be back up real soon!
There is also, as usual, a slightly twisted side to yours truly, which is why Blackwolf asked me to link to L.A.'s Coven 13 Nightclub page. (It's here on the Mundane segment because a lot of its material is intended for mature audiences. You know the deal.)
You might wonder what my thing is about linking to the home page of one Gordon E. Peterson II, from Houston, TX. Well, Gordon's page is one of my favorites because, among other things, he has the one of the best beards I've ever seen on a Texan!
And last but not least, me oldest, most venerable links are here: my Page o' Legal Stuff and the IndexCenter!
