Richard Washington, Elf Without Jingles
Hard to believe, huh? I can relate. When I first began KringleQuest.com, I thought that, once the site was properly operational, I could always make an effort --- in my own small fashion --- to keep alive the magic of Santa Claus: The Movie by joining up with the ranks of those who would dare call themselves..... The Few. The Proud. The Jolly.
In the several years or so since I first bought my own Kringle regalia, I've learned that it's not easy doing the Santa thing in New York. But now, I can say with a sense of pride that I'm still hangin' in there --- with a little help from a cuddly little Christmas Bear named C.B. (For the obvious reasons, of course.)
C.B. and I are available, year-'round, to liven up any party atmosphere, to volunteer our services to the elderly and infirm --- and, of course, to spend the customary quality time with our #1 target audience: the kids. Well-behaved kids between 8 and 14 are my usual
target audience; as long as they believe, and are able
to maintain the sense of wonder that allows them to
properly interact with Santa, that's just fine with me.
So, how about it? Think you can take on the challenge of hiring a most unusual St. Nick? Then maybe you're good enough to hire C.B. and myself. My asking fees
are between $150-$200; of course, you're welcome to call
or e-mail me to discuss your plans and/or party schemes;
and we'll see if we can work anything out.
For further information, please call 212-368-6670; or give me an e-mail buzz at either pirate1_power@hotmail.com or blackbeardian@yahoo.com.
We'll do our best, C.B. and I, to be kind-hearted, gentle, loving, jolly, occasionally silly (if necessary) --- and, above all else, magical! Besides, every Professional Believer in Santa Claus deserves to do all that, and do it all with a flair, a jiggle and a merry twinkle in the eyes! Ho-ho-ho!
