But we think all the sites we explored had their bytes in the right place, if you will --- which is to say, these were places in cyberspace where, hopefully, an elf could feel right at home:

  • Santapark Arctic Circle --- Finnish Lapland claims to be the real Top of the World; and Rovaniemi, its capital city, boasts of being Santa's real hometown. They're sure ready to prove it with this spectacular underground theme park!
  • Santatelevision.com --- produced in and around Rovaniemi by the appropriately named Joulupukki TV Oy (Joulupukki means Santa Claus in Finnish!), this is the Internet's only television network devoted exclusively to Santa! It broadcasts throughout Finland, the rest of Europe, and even Japan!
  • Santa Claus' Office @ Mt. Korvatunturi, Finnish Lapland --- well, naturally, that's Big Red's home away from home, complete with its own Greeting Center, Post Office and Radio Network! You may also click here to experience the Boss, live from his Korvatunturi domain!
  • The Santa Claus of Greenland Foundation --- Previously hosted the annual World Congress of Santa Claus; currently the "opposing force" in an ongoing albeit amiable 'Santa war' with the folks in Rovaniemi.
  • SantaWorld Park, Gesunda, Sweden --- another active participant in the aforementioned Santa wars with Finland and Greenland.
  • The Coca-Cola Company's Sundblom Santa --- In 2001, Haddon Sundblom's Please Pause Here got a special treatment from Oscar-winning animator Alexandre Petrov! For now, see what else is happening in the world of the Real Thing!
  • Auntie Claus ---From her elegant penthouse in Midtown Manhattan's historic Bing Cherry Hotel, the Boss' big sister and her biographer, Elise Primavera, invite believers to join them for tea and strawberries!
  • The Volunteers of America Sidewalk Santa Campaign --- one of NYC's most enduring holiday icons (other than Santa himself, of course!).

  • Holiday World and Splashin' Safari, Santa Claus, Indiana --- Has Santa been known to cool off on a summer's day at this combination Christmas theme park/waterslide extravaganza? Let's put it this way: It could only happen in Santa Claus, Indiana!
  • Wayne Towne Center Mall, Wayne, NJ --- Home of Northern New Jersey's #1 Claus!
  • Fantasy Lights Celebrations @ Storybookland, Cardiff, NJ --- This park is open during Santa's busiest season (which is good news for us Elves!).
  • Santa's Workshop Highway 24, North Pole, Colorado --- the Boss' Kingdom in the Rocky Mountains, near Denver.
  • Santa's Workshop, North Pole, NY --- close to Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain, this is the park considered by most theme-park historians as America's first great theme park.... i.e., the one that started the whole theme-park industry to begin with.
  • Santa's Village, Jefferson, NH --- This Realm for Santa is located near the Canadian-American border.
  • Christmas @ Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, TN --- Santa and Dolly Parton. What more do you need to know?
  • The Land of Make-Believe, Lodi, NJ --- the celebrated home of Santa's Barn and Petting Zoo.
  • Six Flags Over Texas @ Arlington --- home of the Holiday in the Park Christmas Festivals, another Santa-themed event which speaks for itself.
  • The 3 Worlds of Santa's Village, Dundee, IL --- This Kingdom for the Boss is located close to Chicago. (Somehow, Santa always has these links to the Windy City.)

  • Santa to the Stars --- That would be Hollywood's one and only Brady White, whose rendition of the Boss is so legendary that he has had his beard insured by Lloyd's of London!

  • Planet Christmas --- Not too sure about this one, but it has to do with a guy from Tennessee named Chuck Smith who just looooooves Christmas lights.
